Ok folks, here you go. This is actually a Media Center plugin, but works with MLServer. Basically it will copy the cover art for the currently playing song to a temp file in the directory you specify. It will then also set a ML Server variable to the path of the copied file. This means you can now add the cover art of currently playing track to any scene! Few setup instructions.

1. Close Media Center

2. The ml server directory must be in your system Path environment variable.
Edit: to perform this step (XPPro) Click on System/Advanced/Environment Variables button. Then, click on Path on bottom window (System Variables window), Edit, add to Variable Value (typically) ;c:\program files\mlserver and then click OK. Restart Windows.

3. Run the CoverCopy.msi installer

4. Restart Media Center

5. On the plugins tab of Media Center, click on the CoverCopy plugin. In the right pane, set the directory you would like the image copied to (like I:\Music\CoverArt). I suggest a shared drive so those of you running Tablet PCs with a local ML install can access the file with the path stored in the MLServer variable.

6. Set the name of the variable you would like the path stored in. It defaults to mc_cover

7. Modify your scenes using the directions for dynamic jpg loading.

8. When you play a song in MediaCenter, you will see a copy of the current song coverart be copied into the directory you specified. You will also see in the MLServer window that the path to the coverart is now updating the variable value of the variable you specified in step 6.

That's it. Let me know if you have any trouble. Advise if you see coverart getting copied in the directory you specified and if you are seeing variables getting updated in MLServer.

Thanks,
Dave
