Postby rondepping » Sun Sep 23, 2007 9:33 am

I'm getting an error in loading the TV lobby DB

MLBeyondTV Log has
Error: The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attem...

I think its failing on loading the info for Meet the Press.

MLBeyondTV 0.4.4.0
MLServer 3.0.341
MLTVLobby 3.0.14
Mainlobby 3.0.85

Never Mind. I updated to MLTVLobby 3.0.18 and now it loads ok.

Latest versions fixed it go figure.

The Wiki says :
The sample .MLS files are placed in Cinemar\MLBTV, while the .swf and .jpg go in Cinemar\Images\MLBTV. The BTVMenus.xml file goes in the MLSErver folder.

I can find the BTVMenus.xml file in MLServer directory but MLS, swf and jpgs seem to be missing. Also not seeing any of the Variables being created.

Ron, the graphics and sample scenes have not been included in a release yet. The Wiki is written with those in mind as they are being Alpha tested and the docs get written with the testing.

The MLBeyondTV plugin was really only released to give TVLobby existing users another choice for TV guide updates. Only the pieces needed to accomplish this were released. The PVR functions of the MLBTV plugin shouldn't be tested by Beta users yet (only Alpha users).

Does this release extend the beta period. Expiration is set for 3 days in my case. Willing to purchase......

New version posted.

ChrisB, We aren't ready to push this to production yet until the core PVR sample scenes are ready. We'll have to think about a strategy to get you up and running again.

Hopefully we can get the PVR scenes done (which look great!) and we can make this more generally available.

I have been busy getting all the popups working and making the scenes 0019 compatibles... So I think that it is mostly ready, unless I am missing something about the way 0019 scenes are supposed to work (never touched MainLobby before this project)... ;)

ChrisB,
Send to dave at cinemaronline dot com a request to have the MLBeyondTV beta license extended. You should get a new license code that then needs to be activated.

Have you been using the plugin for anything beyond loading tvlobby? Have you used any of the PVR functionality? Or, are you waiting for the sample scenes?

Honestly, without the scenes that you have been holding back, I don't think that anyone would (could?) spend all the time needed to figure out how it all works... ;) Which is why, for the last month, I've been telling you to release them... ;)
