Can't get movies to play with DVDLoby 4 SOLVED

Postby yzpmpgq » Sun Nov 11, 2012 4:31 pm

This is a new install of MLServer4, DVDLobby4, etc. Here is what I have done using 2 pcs (MLServer and media-server):

Installed Arcsoft driver on MLServer
In A/V family, I set the driver to "Arcsoft", model to "Arcsoft player", the Network address to the IP of media-server and Port to "Default IP port"
installed arcsoft TMT3 (previous license I had) on media-server
Installed A/V Agent on media server
Set up A/V agent to use "C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcSoft\TotalMedia Theatre 3\uMCEDVDPlayer.exe" as the player path
Added 2 movies using the content manager

Using the V4 scenes, I went to movie settings and set the default location to AV1, selected a movie and clicked play. Nothing. On MLServer, the driver shows "connected", but logs no events. The media-server agent shows a session connected, but no events either.

What next?

When you added the two movies what was the associated player? It should be "AV Family"

Show me the MLServer and DVDLobby event logs when you press the play movie button.

Looks like it was set to the "Arcsoft" plugin (which is odd, because the dropdown doesn't have that as an option). I changed it to AVFamily in the Family section and on the remote PC and it works now!
