Date formatting for active snapshot timestamp

Postby dyenamic » Tue Mar 25, 2008 3:16 pm

Just installed a Panasonic BLC-111 and its working fine using the BC-10 driver. I'm posting this in the Panasonic section as its the camera plugin I tested but its probably a generic mlipcamera issue.

The current date format for mlipcamera_active_snapshot_timestamp is U.S. date formatted (mm-dd-yyyy). Is there any way to get this dd-mm-yyyy for us in Europe? An option in the plugin or breaking up the variables for dd, mm, yyyy would be great. I'm happy to implement a work around if you can give any steering on how best to do this..

You could use the Left, Right and Mid functions of MLStrings to grab the appropriate parts.

Actually, since it's delimited by -, the Extract function of MLStrings would work too.

MLStrings|Extract~timestamp_month~{{mlipcamera_active_snapshot_timestamp}}~-~1
MLStrings|Extract~timestamp_day~{{mlipcamera_active_snapshot_timestamp}}~-~2
MLStrings|Extract~timestamp_year~{{mlipcamera_active_snapshot_timestamp}}~-~3

that'll give you the month, day and year values in {{timestamp_month}} {{timestamp_day}} and {{timestamp_year}} respectively.

See wiki entry for more examples:

BTW: I just picked up two 111A's myself.
