Buzzing noise

Postby donburkard » Fri May 22, 2009 8:32 pm

I know its not really your thing but i figure ill get an answer faster so i dont burn the house down. I just installed a simply automated upb dimmer switch. Is the buzzing noise when i push the rocker, and for a moment or two after, normal?
thanks

How much load is on the switch? As long as it is not overloaded, or getting excessivily hot when on for a bit, then all should be OK. 2 or 3 of mine do the same thing.
Thanks!

Its got 4 recessed lights with sixty watt bulbs in them so it should be fine. Thanks.

Now my problem is going to be learning upstart. Seams cut and dry. I think ill get the book though just to speed the process up.

The buzzing sound is most likely the UPB dimmer transmitting its status update. The dimmers make a slight buzzing sound when communicating.
