Run time error-Type mismatch

Postby ccap » Thu Nov 01, 2007 4:02 pm

I am getting a run time error 13 Type mismatch then the system crashes

I have set up the network ID correctly and the new Serial plug in device that I had to buy is talking to it ok

But every time I add a switch it comes up with this error
Every time I do anything it gives me the error and crashes

Do I need to really re-program these devices ot can I just add them to ML Lighting list

Are you using the latest versions of MLLighting and the UPB driver?
Have you upgraded this before?
Backup your current MLLighting database, rename it, and then reinstall the very latest and try to add devices again. If that works, maybe the database was updated since yours.

I dont need to back any database up becasue I haven't had the opportunity to set up anything.

I have also re-installed the UPB plug in and the MLLighting plug in

I just bought the plug in last week and then I know you sent me a link to the ML lighting plug in to work with the UPB plug in I bought.

Is there a way to remove it completly and start over?

I know its not suppose to be this hard, but its fighting me every step of the way :?

Thanks

ccap,

Sorry for the late response. Our last release of UPB seems to have broken something. We are aware of the issue and working towards a fix in the next release. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have the fix early next week.

ccap,

An update to the UPB driver has been posted. Please give this one a try and see if it resolves your problems.

Postby psaport » Tue Nov 06, 2007 11:48 am

I overwrote my previous upb driver, with the latest version and mllighting control is dead in water, if this will take a while to resolve the issues, is there some way i can get the previous known good upb driver?

Regarding removing / uninstalling plugin. The easiest work around when a plugin is malfunctioning is to go to the mlserver directory and edit the mlserver.cfg using notepad file. You should see a line like this Plugin_MLLighting_Enabled=True
just change True to False and save and restart mlserver. This prevents the plugin from loading an startup.

Guys,

Have you tried backing up your mllighting.mdb by renaming it then reinstalling mllighting family? We'd like to know if there are any issues if it were a clean install as opposed to something residing in the database.

psaport,

It would be helpful to see your log file from the UPB plugin. It should be in the log folder of mlserver.

I am getting a run time error 91. if you dbld click on one of the dimmers and under the second tab control click edit tehn you get the error.

Also it currently hang for a while while ML Server is loading. it eventually loads, but it take a bit

Here are the .dll version I am using
UPBIOControl.dll version 1.0.0.272
MLLighting Family Properties.dll ver 1.1.0.67
UPBController.dll ver 1.0.0.683
UPBLightControl.dll ver 1.0.0.215

All these are in the MLLighting folder

In the PlugIns folder I have
MLLighting.dll version 1.0.0.928
