It seems, based on the new Denon 5.1 serial definition file, that Denon has changed/aaded source names for the 'CI' series of A/V Receivers.

THe current list for the 4306CI and the 3808CI include
HDP
TV/CBL
SAT
VCR (without a number)
NET
XM
HDRADIO
IPOD

These additions/changes make the plug-in not really workable.

It would be nice if there was a CI checkbox that used the new CI source names. Less than that just adding the new names to the source list would work great.

Interesting suggestion -- although it would also be nice for the plugin to support the new surround/audio modes which include Dolby TrueHD and dts-HD Master Audio.

Keep the wishlists coming. When I get back into the plugin I will incorporate as much as I can.

New user with 3808CI

Postby yzpmpgq » Wed Sep 26, 2007 1:48 pm

I'm trying this plugin for the first time with a new 3808CI unit. Most of the features seem to work except volume sliders and several of the screen fields are not populated. Also, my mldenon variables never seem to change (which is one of the main reasons I wanted to use this plugin - otherwise I could stick with the old usbuirt like my last unit). What do I need to do to supply you with any helpful information?

i have some problems with version 3.0.156

command dbs (not working)
command tv ( must hit the buttom many times to change)
tunerFrequency~down (not working)
tunerFrequency~up ( must hit the buttom many times to change)
TunerBand~AM FM AUTO ( must hit the buttom many times to change)

there is a variable {{mldenon_001_zone_2_volume}} and {{mldenon_001_zone_3_volume}} why not {{mldenon_001_zone_1_volume}} instead of main zone {{mldenon_001_zone_main_volume}}

This is an example of where the Denon serial protocol is not universal across all models. The plugin will have to be modified so that you specify the receiver model so that it can use the correct protocol. Watch for an update to the plugin.

Version 3.0.162 of the MLDenon plugin in the the beta section. This version of the plugin adds some missing commands for 4306 and adds the 4306 as a known receiver in the drop down.

I really need to remote into the PC and look at what is going on. This is the only way to fully resolve this. Set up a LogMeIn account.
