Trouble with transport commands

Postby davevans » Tue Dec 02, 2008 2:34 pm

I upgraded to version 3.1.15 of MLMediaCenter plugin, and I have the lastest J River plugin for Media Center 11.

When I make any transport call, I get the following error:

12/2/2008 2:25:23 PM CMD: mlvistatv~STREAM 1~Stop FROM: desk
12/2/2008 2:25:23 PM Error: Unable to send command SetZone|STREAM 1

The pc I have JR Media center is called mlvistatv, and I have set up a zone called STREAM 1. The command I am sending is

MLServeCMD.MLMediaCenter|mlvistatv~STREAM 1~Stop

I have also tried this variation

MLServeCMD.MLMediaCenter|{{mlmediacenter_musiclobbyserver_name1}}~{{mlmediacenter_mulclient_{{clientname}}_selzone}}~Stop

Is there something I am doing wrong? This only seems to be an issue since the upgrade

I recently started having the same problem; I can start a playlist playing, but I can't then click on songs within the playlist to start playing a dfferent song. Also, the "Stop", "Next" and "Back" functions are all not working. Each command returns the string "Unable to send command SetZone|Zone 1" as shown below. This to worked until a recent update, and I've confirmed all of the syntax. Any ideas?

12/17/2008 7:10:55 AM CMD: HTPC1~Zone 1~Stop FROM: family
12/17/2008 7:10:55 AM Error: Unable to send command SetZone|Zone 1

Running MLServer: 3.0.583
MLMediaCenter: 3.1.15
J River Plugin: 3.0.140

I've tried restarting the HTPC running J River, restarted MLServer, and restarted the clients; also uninstalled / reinstalled the J River plugin. Are there any other troubleshooting recommendations?

Anyone from Cinemar reading this?

You are seeing this message because there is no licensed JRiver server found. When you performed the upgrade did you upgrade both plugins to the latset version? Did you notice that you now have to specifically define your JRiver servers in the MLMediaCenter plugin. If you have done that is MLMediaCenter connected to the JRiver plugin? Look at the JRiver plugin. Does it say is has been licensed? Let me know because this will help with the solution.

Hey Dave...all plugins are updated, the JRiver plugin is licensed and shows licensed for 6 zones. It also plays just fine when I play a playlist, I just can't use any controls except for "clear"' command once a playlist is playing...

Version 3.1.18 of the MLMediaCenter plugin should resolve this issue. Release a few minutes ago.
