my cover art has all dissapeared!!?

Postby 99teddy99 » Wed Oct 22, 2008 1:28 pm

I've been working fine with coverart in musiclobby but it's stopped working.

If I go to the URL displayed in the server variable for zone1_curimage it works fine, but when I use the client pc the thumbnails and coverart is all blank.

it also doesn't show if I use lobby on the server PC, but going to the URL does
(http://192.168.1.181:8123/getImage?C%3A ... Plan%2Ejpg)

Any advice please?

p.s. other images/server stuff works fine (ip camera etc)

Can you reach it if you use the server name (as oppossed to the ip)?

I tried this and it works fine:
http://Halserver:8123/getImage?C%3A%5CD ... Plan%2Ejpg

but that's when I run it on the halserver (and lobby doesn't display on that pc either)

when I run it on the client pc it doesn't work with 'halserver' but it does with the ip address.

update is that musiclobby does still function from client pc but it's very very very slow to react - is there some network setting I could look at? thing is the pictures dont show on the halserver client musiclobby scene either, everything has been fine for ages.

Sounds like a DNS issue.

Here's a temporary solution:

Ultimately you'll want to resolve your DNS issues

Have you made any updates to MLServer recently or any other changes that you know of?

Thanks for the replies - I've done some more investigating and here's what I can find....

On the server, jriver works fine without high cpu :-) However, when I call up musiclobby (on the server pc), it makes the CPU go up and mediacentre12 sits at about 60% - this seems to happen when I browse thumbnails, click playlists etc. As soon as I close lobby the cpu goes back to normal. musiclobby does work just about, but it's sooo sooo sooo slow it's unuseable - takes about 30 seconds to play or stop a track

I've been installing a few things lately and have made sure all lobby products are the latest ones via mlinstaller.

Hope someone can help :-)

mlserver 3.0.558
mlmediacentre 3.1.3
mlmusicplayer 1.0.29 (even though I've tried to install 1.0.34?!)
jriver plugin 3.0.15
