No response from Borrego 8x4

Postby bboffa » Tue Jan 18, 2011 10:05 pm

I have just installed a new Borrego 8x4 Matrix switcher and downloaded and installed the MLMatrixSwitcher (3.75.14) and NeoThinhgs matrix switcher (3.75.20). When I try and send a command the plugin receives it but nothing happens. I have tested the com port with a putty session and can input commands correctly but nothing happens when I try to send a command through the plugin.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Can you post logs from the mlmatrixswitcher events tab?

Mario,

Here is the log.

1/18/2011 9:59:18 PM doCommand - RCVD: 1~switch~All~3~2 from VistaPc
1/18/2011 9:59:18 PM doCommand - Sending command to Neothings
1/18/2011 9:59:19 PM Neothings - CMD: 1~switch~All~3~2
1/18/2011 10:00:04 PM doCommand - RCVD: borrego~switch~All~3~2 from VistaPc
1/18/2011 10:00:04 PM doCommand - Sending command to Neothings
1/18/2011 10:00:04 PM Neothings - CMD: borrego~switch~All~3~2

My thinking is that the COM port on the switch is set to 115.2K. It seems that this is quite new. How does the plugin handle the com port speed?

The COM port is automatically set to 9600 for all these switches. Can you drop the baud rate down in the switch to match? If the switch does not allow that then I will have to modify the plugin.

I dont see any option in the switch to change the speed. It looks like all new models since 10-2010 have this change in the speed.

Install version 3.75.15 of the Family manager and 3.75.21 of the Neothings driver. When you edit the setup of the switcher you will now be able to set the baud rate. Let me know how you make out because I cannot test it here.
