Error w/ Borrego

Postby rileydog » Sat Sep 13, 2008 12:58 pm

MLS 3.0.557
MLMatrixSwitcher 1.0.111
Neothing Borrego 8x8

I am not able to switch any outputs > 4 - I keep getting the following error:

MLMatrixSwitcher|BORREGO~Switch~All~1~7

Error: Invalid command received, Invalid output source number: Switch~All~1~7

However, I can issue commands for outputs 1-4 and the command works.

MLMatrixSwitcher|BORREGO~Switch~All~1~4

Works.

Another strange thing is that from the plugin settings, I can change any input/output without problems including those >4.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Going from bad to worse - I updated my mlmatrix driver and restarted everything. Now, I have the same problem as the original post and in addition, none of my variables are updating when I change zones.

I can change all outputs via ML for output 1-4 to any of the 8 inputs
I can change all outputs via the plugin control panel to any input
In both cases above, the variables do not update

I confirmed the driver is set to 8x8 and the plugin log is logging commands...

Maybe the new concord support broke the Borrego???

Yikes!

rileydog,

It appears your MLMatrixSwitcher Family plugin is out of date.

Try upgrade to x.117 from the Installation Assistant. I would recommend over writing the database and readding your device.

EDIT: Looks like you may be on the latest after your last post. But please confirm.

I reinstalled everything - I have 1.0.117 MLMatrixSwitcher - I deleted the database and setup the device again.

Device alias = BORREGO

Setup as 8x8

Note the log below - the initial commands are sent OK and see that I sent a command via ML and I get the Invalid command received. The next line is me sending the same command via the plugin (which works). I tried both the Alias and the ID - both failed.

I still cannot get the variables to work either - they use to before I reinstalled everything but now, no go. When I switch from the plugin, they are not changing variables.

Update for anyone keeping score - I quit ML Server without saving variables, deleted everything and reinstalled - re-setup everything. Restarted the Borrego and ML.

I am using MLMatrixSwitcher 1.0.117
BorregoController.dll dated 10/15/07 (version 1.0.0.319)
ML Server3.0.557

Same problems - variables not updated, anything over 4 gives and error...

I will have to wait for the ML wizards to look at the plugin... I can't think of anything else to do. Let me know if you need logs or other info.

rileydog,

Login with to http://www.cinemarsoltuions.com/login.html
Then grab the driver. The Borrego, Concord and Avalon are all in the same installer - so it will contain the name Avalon in the setup file.

Then also update your MLMatrixSwitcher Family plugin from the Installation Assistant.

This should hopefully resolve your issues.

Getting close - variables are now updating and it works great.... except I still am not able to switch outputs > 4

See the enclosed log - also note another error in the log for other switch commands - it seems to be working fine even with the error for those with outputs <5 but you may be interested in the error (invalid board...)...

Thanks!

Hi rileydog.

It's high on the list - just haven't gotten to it yet. Thanks for the logs though.

Fixed! Thanks!

Don't know if this is a problem but I am still getting that invalid response error in the log - but, it is now switching.

So close - I know what that invalid board error is causing - the variables for zone 1 (or zero I suppose, the first zone) are not being updated when switched. It is switching properly but those variables don't update... All other variables update and switch with no problems.

There is new versions of the MLMatrixSwitcher family and all neothings drivers (Avalon, Borrego, and Concord) that fixes this issue.
