Mario

I haven't received any emails from you, now or before. Are you attaching the file to the email? (I'm wondering if my ISP is blocking the message due to the file size and/or extension).

Anyway, I just sent you an email. Hopefully you can just reply to it and we'll be good to go.

Thanks again

Joe

Got the PM.

Followed all the links/rules.

Just waiting for the plugin to appear in my downloads list.

Thanks for the quick response.

You've got mail and updates. :) Don't forget, you'll also need to download the MLLighting Family plugin for the Insteon Driver to work. This is available from the Insteon beta forum.

Insteon Zwave

Postby oaserani » Mon May 01, 2006 2:37 pm

I have 20+ Zwave devices, mixed Homepro and Intermatic. I have only stayed with Zwave, and I've had some issues with Z-wave in Homeseer/MLSHPlugin. If that type of environment would help, let me know.

Will be installing 35 in a new custom install I'm doing. I'd love to Beta Mainlobby's insteon plugin.

Reply to Insteon Device Driver Beta Announcement

Postby ghaun » Fri May 05, 2006 10:17 am

Hello,

I would love to act as a beta tester.

My username is ghaun.

My entire house has Insteon. I currently have 49 dimmers, 13 ON/OFF, 4 signalincs, and 8 controllincs. I also have an integrated streaming whole-house media system allowing me to stream HD content this I am looking to integrate with an all-encompassing automation system.

I would really like to beta test your offerings, as I need a good software interface.

Thanks,

ghaun

Thanx for the interest in beta testing the Insteon device driver.
As the MLLighting is part of the MLServer 3 suite, only the MLServer 3 beta group is eligible to test the Insteon device driver.
We have gotten quite a bit of good feedback.
Once ML 3 suite launches we can roll this out to more folks.
thanx again.

I'm happy to report that thus far our beta testing has been going pretty smoothly with just minor updates to the plugin. We've maximized most of the current capabilities exposed by Insteon at this point until the next update from them.

Because of some of the more advanced logging and family plugin architecture, the Insteon Drivers will require the latest MLServer 3 when released. (which hopefully won't be too much longer)

If you're still accepting beta testers, I'd like to volunteer also. I just bought the ML 3 suite with the primary purpose of using it to control my lights (mostly Insteon). I've developed my own software to control the Insteon PLC in Linux so I have a pretty good idea how the linking and communciations are suppose to work.

I have my lighting scenses all created, they just don't control anything yet :)

Thanks,
