USBUIRT Dead?

Postby ebr » Tue Oct 21, 2008 8:20 am

Anyone have one of these things completely seize up on them?

The other day, my remote didn't work so I went and looked at the UIRT and the light wasn't flashing when commands came through. So, I unplugged the UIRT and plugged it back in. Now the red light on the UIRT stays lit 100% - no flicker or anything just full on all the time.

I've re-started ML and the machine to no avail. Did my hardware die?

Not sure.

You could try it on another machine.

Also, try covering up the front of the unit to make sure something is just blasting it with IR. Also, review the logs to see if anything is coming through.

Probably something the original manufacturer might be able to lend more info to.

Thanks Mario. John Rees (manufacturer) says the unit has probably gone bad.
