You're close but you need to change

AV.BDP1{{movies_selection_changernumber_{{clientname}}}}|Pause

to

AV.BDP{{movies_selection_changernumber_{{clientname}}}}|Pause

Eliminate the hard coded 1 after BDP.

Postby snoots » Fri Mar 11, 2011 11:08 pm

If I take the 1 out the changer does not respond. In the 7000ES plugin it shows the alias as BDP1...If I look in the server event log I show AV.BDP:pause from the IPAD. Safari on the PC works but shows BDP1 SEE LOCAL HOST BELOW. The DVDLOBBY remote is set for BDP with no 1. It still looks like the changer plugin BDPX number needs to be populated somehow to the remote ??
It seems that different client tasks should work with the correct number, if i add my 2nd changer would it not be BDP2 for example. Is there a good reference that describes the parsing of all the arguments and syntax like brackets?

Multiple changers question

Both of my changers show in the plugin as bd1 I have set one set to remote code bd2 but that should only impact ir not ip?how do I get the client remote to operate on the correct changer? Do I need to add a separate remote in DVD lobby for the second player? Should the alias be bd1 on both?

This condition may occur if the second changer was added to the network with the first changer disconnected from the network. You will have to shut down MLServer and then run RegEdit. Delete the HKLM\Software\Cinemar\MLCX7000ES registry hive. You will want to then restart MLServer with both changers connected to the network. The plugin should then discover both changers and give them each a unique name.

If you are not comfortable with editing the registry set up a LogMeIn account and send me your LogMeIn credentials and I’ll remote in and fix this issue.

Ok that did the trick if I hit the play movie button the remote tracks the selected changer how can I force the default play command to swap receiver inputs since both just refer to mlcx7000 in dvdlobby? With my old stuff each default play flipped to correct hdmi input on yamaha, this setup as stated has the single default play that the movie variable changes to correct changer based on the titles dvdlobby changer number. Thanks for getting me there almost all the way

You just need to insert a couple of MLConditionals into the DVDLobby PlayMovie command. Depending on the value of <<ChangerNumber>> you would execute the command to switch the HDMI inputs.

Does this version no longer support control via serial port? I don't see a "Changers" tab in the configuration window, only a tab for configuring network changers. This is version 3.90.28 and says it is "via UPNP" but it is the only CX7000ES driver I could find in the installer.

I pulled the serial port version because the network version works so much better. Do you not have your changer connected to the network? How does the changer catalog the title if it is not network connected?

It is connected to the network. I was just surprised because I expected it to work like the 777 does. And the wiki documentation is still serial-centric.

I'm also not seeing the 7000 as a remote tab in DVDLobby. Do I just have to take an existing tab and load in the CX7000ES settings?

I'm having issues trying to get DVDLobby to catalog titles, but I haven't had a chance to do any serious troubleshooting on the issue (i.e.: I havent looked at logs). If I can't figure it out then I will post here again. Yes, broadcast is on (but I will set it again just to be sure).

Select an empty tab or recycle the 777 tab and build the 7000 remote commands. There is pull down menu in the plugin for that.

Cataloging from the 7000 will only work well with the UPNP version of the plugin.

I am trying to get the Slinke to select the correct inputs for my Yamaha receiver based on the "ChangerNumber" being either 2 for one changer and 1 for the other. I have tried a number of variations on the default play command but none work. I know it is a syntax error. I have looked at the wiki for examples but found nothing similar enough to help. What delimiter is needed between arguments? Do I need a ! or | between the disk "play" command and the conditional? I have found different examples on the wiki with :: for the ## in conditional and some areas where the description of an example don't match the actual example like referencing DVDlobby disk info with an example for MLCallID..

MLCX7000ES|<<CHANGERNUMBER>>~DiscDirect~<<CHANGERLOCATION>>mlservecmd.mlconditional|IsEqual##MLCX7000ES|{{ChangerNumber}}##2##MLSlinke|rx2000:dvd##MLSlinke|rx2000:bluray

This would check to see if changer two is set and select the rx2000 DVD input. If not it would set the bluray input ( which would be changer 1 )

So far I'm 0 for 3 in the movie lookup game.

Slot 2: Star Trek BD. It finds the title "Star Trek(Disc 1)" and gets two matches off of it, both "Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan" and both wrong.
3/21/2011 10:52:34 PM ProcessCommand - Cmd=[LookupChangerMovie] Param=[1~2] Client=[myClient1] Index=[0]

3/21/2011 10:53:33 PM DoSearch - Gathering search results...

Slot 4: Inception BD: No title is found and MLDMR is called with an empty title. Obviously it returns nothing and in MainLobby I get the weird error "Lookup Failed: No response from device within alloted time!"
3/21/2011 10:55:00 PM ProcessCommand - Cmd=[LookupChangerMovie] Param=[1~4] Client=[myClient1] Index=[0]

3/21/2011 10:55:38 PM ProcessTitle -
3/21/2011 10:55:38 PM ProcessTitle - Calling MLDMR

The relevant lines from the CX7000ES logs appear to be these:

3/21/2011 10:55:39 PM Rcvd: Status Data

Slot 6: Star Trek DVD: MainLobby waits forever for a title that will never come. The DVDLobby log says:
3/21/2011 10:56:22 PM ProcessCommand - Cmd=[LookupChangerMovie] Param=[1~6] Client=[myClient1] Index=[0]
3/21/2011 10:57:29 PM ProcessCommand - Cmd=[ProcessTitle] Param=[Star Trek] Client=[] Index=[0]
3/21/2011 10:57:29 PM ProcessTitle - Star Trek
3/21/2011 10:57:29 PM ProcessTitle - You must have a subscription to MLDMR to use this command!

But I DO have a subscription to MLDMR. A subscription that in fact worked with slot 2, albeit returning the wrong information (see slot 2 above)

The MLDMR log remained entire empty throughout.

Regarding slot 4: Inception.... This disc title is also not known to the 7000. It doesn't show up as a selection on the changer's home page, probably because I didn't have the changer scan the disc before I turned Gracenotes off. Does gracenotes need to be on for DVDLobby to look up Blu-Rays? If true, that would seem very backwards and would indicate that Blu-rays need to be scanned twice (once by gracenotes and once by DVDLobby).

With the 777 running an older version of DVDLobby I just gave it a slot range and said "scan" and an hour later it had everything in the database with a very high accuracy rate. I'd like to get that here, too. I suppose I could just carefully preserve the slot numbers while moving discs then just change the player name, but I actually did want to rescan all the DVDs as the new DVDLobby stores more information than the old one.

Help?

You must keep GraceNote enabled on the changers. DVDLobby needs to know the disc information that the changer grabs from GraceNote in order to identify the disc.

The "You must have a subscription..." message was due to ProcessTitle being called after the Lookup had timed out. It is a badly phrased error message that I need to change. This tells me that I might have to increase the timeout value to greater that 90 seconds.

If you set up LogMeIn I'll spend some time on your system tweaking things. You must first enable Gracenote and let it refresh your changer.
