Guys an update was just posted that resolves the problem of not sending MLServeCmd's based on the DS10A's.

Should be fully functional again. :)

Thanks mario!

Is it suppose to know the difference between ds10's or are they all grouped as the same code?

All of my units give this in the log:

R: E Bright -Security = sensor connected

R: M Bright -Security = sensor dis-connected

It does send a command in response to E Bright, M Bright, E Dim, and M Dim

I tested another a few more and they give this for the address:

R: E Dim -Security = sensor connected

R: M Dim -Security = sensor dis-connected

Thanks again!

I think we could differentiate from a security sensor vs remote; however, it's probably not something we intend to add any time soon.

I'm not sure I see the value of only sending an MLServeCmd if the code comes from a security sensor vs something else. I don't think anyone would have the same codes or should set their system up that way because of the other problems that would arise.

Mario,
I didn't describe it very well but after some testing you will see what I meant.

I have 16 ds10's, I tested each one and this is what the plugin sees:

1 - of them gives this in the log:
R: E16 On -Security = sensor connected
R: M16 On -Security = sensor dis-connected

1 - of them gives this in the log:
R: E12 On -Security = sensor connected
R: M12 On -Security = sensor dis-connected

1 - of them gives this in the log:
R: E9 On -Security = sensor connected
R: M9 On -Security = sensor dis-connected

2 - of them give this in the log:
R: E14 Off -Security = sensor connected
R: M14 Off -Security = sensor dis-connected

5 - of them give this in the log:
R: E Dim -Security = sensor connected
R: M Dim -Security = sensor dis-connected

6 - of them give this in the log:
R: E Bright -Security = sensor connected
R: M Bright -Security = sensor dis-connected

So for example:
The 6 that show up as E or M Bright can not have seperate response commands. They would be grouped togeather since they all show up as the same device. I hope this explains what I meant above.

Not sure if this is the plugin or the ds10's. I opened the WGL software and looked at the address for each of the 6 that show up as E or M Bright. All six have a different address.

The bit 1 and bit 2 are the same for all 6 but bit 3 and bit 4 are different. Maybe the plugin is only looking at the first two bits?

All 16 units show up in the WGL as having corrupt packets or something. So I have a feeling the corrupt packets happens on all ds10's.

Hi Todd,

We'll have to investigate further. Unfortunately it won't be until later next week.

I would recommend resetting your DS10A and seeing if you can get a unique address from it. It's amazing that the unit doesn't allow users to configure the address. Seems somewhat archaic.

Thanks for looking in to this again. Right know I am getting almost the same results as thartigh with the new version. I had been using the first version of this plug-in with pretty good results. Motion detectors work great. Just lots of false positives. It don't recognize the DS10a's as security devices either, but it does find the right house and unit code so I can get it to trigger ML commands. Hopefully you will get this to a fully functioning plug-in for all RF x10 devices.

Thanks
Tim

Setup and configured my W800RF32 last night and my wife is thrilled to (soon) have a simple, small non-touch screen remote control :)

WAF factor nearing 100%!
