I'd like to see what irrigation programs have run

Postby kgingerich » Wed Jul 22, 2009 9:19 pm

Does anyone know how I can display what programs have run in the past day/week?

Under the mlirrigation settings there is a MLServeCmd box. What does that do? Can I put some commands in there which will run each time a program runs?

Run History; I am not aware of a method of doing this. I do know that the module is being re-written and maybe Dave can add in a history feature. I would be great to know what programs did not run due to rain and so on.

MLCmd; That is for testing commands from within the setup control box. You can however use Automation Rules to trigger somthing based on an event in MLIrrigation.

Yeah Dave has nothing else to do so I'm sure this will be done by Saturday. :P

My first thought is I need to trigger a variable creation whenever a program is run which includes the program name and date/time it was run. Then have a page which lists each variable that's created. I'm not entirely sure how I would get it to make new variables for each program that's run and not overwrite the same variable though. hmmm

I just had an idea i'll try it out.

Ok so I settled on just knowing when the last time each program has run instead of a complete history.

I created automation rules for each program.

Example:
Whenever mlirrigation_active_program contains 001
Then MLServeCmd.SetVariable|mlirrigation_program_001_lastrun~{{currentdate}}

Then I made a scene called history and displayed the time each zone ran last. Pic attached.

You could use TChart to keep the history and to graph the results.

Hi kgingerich,
TChart is in beta. The pricing will be reasonable to attract more users.
Please give it a try and let us know how it works for you.

Thanx.
David
