Is the plug in fully compatible with Wifi Rain8Net ? Any special configurations/setup needed ?

We haven't tested with the Wifi rain8net. If it appears to be the rain8net on the serial port like the hard wired one, then it should work. Just haven't done any research to see if that is the case or not.

Their web site says "Use with any Rain8net compatable irrigation software using the virtual comm port driver."

Do you think this will be compatible with the plug in ?

Thanks.

Hi Eric,

I would recommend a quick call to WGL - they should be able to tell you if our existing Rain8Net serial plugin will work with their wireless version.

Eric,

I was just curious as to if you had placed a call, and what the answer was.

Update on Rain8Net Wifi Compatability w/ MLIrrigation

Postby charger28 » Wed Jan 30, 2008 2:26 am

I do not see Rain8Net Wifi specifically mentioned in the supported hardware of MLIrrigation. Does anyone know if this specific product is supported?

We have been told that it should work no problem, but no one I know has tried it.

I purchased and setup the Wifi Rain8Net equipment with no problems utilizing the MLIrrigaiton plug-in and Rain8Net drivers. It worked flawlessly with the 0019_irrigation.mls scene.
