Arming and Disarming

Postby bigDvette » Mon Mar 21, 2011 10:52 pm

I never got any responses on my previous post, so I'll ask a different question.

If I send MLELKM1|Arm~1~1~code It will arm the system in away mode. If I send the same command again it will disarm the system. Why is it disarming when I am telling it to arm in away a second time?

My guess is that the Elk is treating the Arm command as a toggle. The plugin does not do any internal toggling.

Ok, I put all my logic in the mlserver commands.

If armed, don't send command again.

I wish there was some way to arm without a password. From a keypad (physical elk keypad) you can arm by just pressing a button without your code.

There is also a user authorization called disarm, but when you turn that off it still lets that user code disarm the system via an arm command with disable as the action.

Anyway, I think I will call elk.
