Problem with MLGC100 v3.99.11.0?

Postby jwr » Wed Nov 02, 2011 3:22 pm

I've run into a difference between MLGC100 v3.99.11.0 and the prior version. I'm still running MLServer 3.

I have my garage door controller connected to a GC-100 relay port (module 3, port 1) and a garage door open/close sensor (standard alarm sensor) on a GC-100 sensor port (module 4 port 1). To open the garage door I send the plugin module 3, port 1 a close command, delay three seconds, and then send an open. This simulates a user pressing a garage door button. This functionality continues to work just fine in the new version of the plugin just fine.

The problem is with the sensor port (module 4, port 1). It used to recognize the door open/close condition and perform the "contacts OPEN" and "contacts CLOSE" MLServer commands correctly. Now it doesn't. Here is my MLGC100 plugin setup (attached):

MLGC100.doc

Here is log of events when the garage door is opened:

Got: [Relay~UpperGarageDoor~Close]

Here is the log of events when the garage door is closed:

Got: [Relay~UpperGarageDoor~Close]

Got: [Delay~3]
Got: [Relay~UpperGarageDoor~Open]

Rcvd: [statechange,4:1,0] from IP: [192.168.75.50]
State Change on 192.168.75.50 on module #4 port #1. State = 4

I don't understand why the State of my sensor (module 4, port 1) is always 4... Shouldn't it be 0 or 1? Should the plugin detect the state change and perform the MLServer commands?

Any help is appreciated.

I recently made some changes to support new iTach devices and screwed up the parsing. Try version 3.99.12 and see how that plays.

Same result with v3.99.12.0. The MLServer commands aren't executed. Now the state is wrong for the relay module too:

Garage door up:

Got: [Relay~UpperGarageDoor~Close]
Relay: [setstate,3:1,1]
OpenTCPPort at 192.168.75.50 on port 4998
TCPPort is already open
Connect: [setstate,3:1,1]

State Status on 192.168.75.50 on module #3 port #1. State = 3
Got: [Delay~3]
Rcvd: [statechange,4:1,1] from IP: [192.168.75.50]
State Change on 192.168.75.50 on module #4 port #1. State = 4
Got: [Relay~UpperGarageDoor~Open]
Relay: [setstate,3:1,0]
OpenTCPPort at 192.168.75.50 on port 4998
TCPPort is already open
Connect: [setstate,3:1,0]
Rcvd: [state,3:1,0] from IP: [192.168.75.50]
State Status on 192.168.75.50 on module #3 port #1. State = 3

Garage door down:

Got: [Relay~UpperGarageDoor~Close]
Relay: [setstate,3:1,1]
OpenTCPPort at 192.168.75.50 on port 4998
TCPPort is already open
Connect: [setstate,3:1,1]
Rcvd: [state,3:1,1] from IP: [192.168.75.50]
State Status on 192.168.75.50 on module #3 port #1. State = 3
Got: [Delay~3]
Got: [Relay~UpperGarageDoor~Open]
Relay: [setstate,3:1,0]
OpenTCPPort at 192.168.75.50 on port 4998
TCPPort is already open
Connect: [setstate,3:1,0]
Rcvd: [state,3:1,0] from IP: [192.168.75.50]

Well at least I broke all of it. Version 3.99.14 should be better.

I'm having the same problem for at least a month or two now. I changed to 3.99.14.0 but it stops working after 20-24 hours. I also went to an old old version of the plugin with the same results. I have had my GC100's for many years working without a problem so I KNOW it's software related. My gues is MLserver version 3.75.2xx and up has a bug. This is so bad that my DVD Lobby is also effected when changing DVD's, half of the commands do not get to the changers. MLServer shows all the commands being executed but the GC100 do not get them all and at times none.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Maik

Huh? we have dozens of users using this plugin. Can you provide GC100 event logs showing when the commands do not work?

When I send this Macro command

SendIR~DVD3~PowerOff
Delay~1
SendIR~DVD2~PowerOff
Delay~1
SendIR~DVD1~PowerOff
Delay~1
SendIR~HDMI~4
Delay~1
SendIR~inday~4

This is the GC100 log file.

Could the problem be when you have multiple GC100s? That's what it looks like to me?
I have no errors when I use a single GC100 at a time.

Thank you for helping me out,

Maik

Multiple GC100's has not been a problem in the past. I have two here. Each GC device has its own dedicated network connection. Turn on logging to a file and start logging on load in the plugin. Then restart MLServer and issue some commands. Email me the entire event log so I can see the entire loading and command process. We'll get to the bottom of this.

After starting MLServer and running Macro b2 which is:

SendIR~AVR~power off
Delay~1
SendIR~DVD1~PowerOff
Delay~1
SendIR~DVD5~PowerOff

All IR command are on a different GC100.
Then running Macro b3 which is:

MLCmd|MLCommand~{{clientname}}~sendKey|MainLobby~Lbutton
Delay~1
MLServeCmd.MLCmd|ChangeScene~{{clientname}}~pleasewait.mls
Delay~1
SendIR~AVR~power off
Delay~1
SendIR~DVD1~PowerOff
Delay~1
MLServeCmd.MLCmd|ChangeScene~{{clientname}}~homepage.mls
Delay~1
SendIR~DVD5~PowerOff

I get this log file.

With the exception of a blank line in the macro that tried to get executed and caused an error at the end it looked like the rest worked ok?
