I have the same current need - just need a to learn a few IR commands that i cannot find Hex codes for.

Anyone willing to "loan" or sell a GC-IRL? Will pay a depost by Paypal, or a fair price for purchase. Thanks for any help.

Oh boy did this hit the nail on the head.
These are just too expensive for the few codes I need to setup.
I too would be greatfull for the opportunity to borrow, with a deposit of course, or purchase at reduced price.
Obviously there are folks before me that should have the first shot but please keep me in mind next.

Thanks!

relay700,

I was looking for a few IR codes for an old HK AVR7000. Not a single one of RemoteCentral's published AVR7000 codes worked for me. I didn't find a loaner GC-IRL for learning, so I ended up trying RemoteCentral's codes for the AVR8000 remote. Every single AVR800 hex code I tried worked perfectly to control my AVR7000, so I solved my problem. You might try some published hex codes for similar or next generation devices by the same manufacturer, see if you can piece together what you need. Good luck..

Oronomus: Thanks for the tip!
I have tried a few similar components which helped a great deal.
