MLServer 4 Support

Postby jeffdoo » Tue Jun 14, 2011 5:57 pm

Figure I'll be the first to ask...

Subject says it all.... will there be support? (I assume yes)

And, will there be support for the MLServer 4 Beta?

This, along with a couple other ML plugins are my most critical before considering the move to ML4 when available.

FYI: Plugin has been rock solid for what I use it for ....

Thanks!

We do not have that source code so Krumpy will have to make the changes required to make the old Homeseer plugin compatible with MLServer 4.

Yes - I have been in touch periodically for the past six months but have been told that it was too early.

Sounds like it is now time.

Give me a couple of day to a week to get a test environment built. Development should not take long.

Try the following. There are a few additional items that I am working on with the next release.

Extract Zip file and then place the contents into the MLServer\Plugins directory.

So several of you have downloaded the latest plugin. Is it working for you?

Sorry, wasn't subscribed to the thread and didn't know you were providing new releases.

I've just installed the newest w/MLS v3.75.222 and will keep you posted if there are any problems.

Thanks!!!

For those using my plugin, I have already updated my ML2HS plugin for MLServer 4.
I have it on my web site.

UPDATE: I should mention that I ave not tested it yet but I do not forsee any issues.

Jeff, of course....

My plugin was the first official MlServer plugin back in 2004. If it wasnt the first then it was definitely the second. To think that the code has been running over 7 years...

I downloaded and installed the new version the other day. So far so good.

Thank you for a great plugin.

I wish all the ML pluglins were as solid as yours, Krumpy. I rely on it for HS >> ML control, scripts and variable updates. After all these years, I still use HS to handle some chores because of it's flexible scripting options. Without your plugin, ML would be missing a lot of flexibility for me.

PS. No intention to slight Blade's version ... I use it also, and it works flawlessly for me too.

Kuddos to you both =D>

I'm trying to get the MLHSPlugin to work on a new server with MLServer4 installed. (note: this is not the machine with homeseer installed).

I executed the "MLServer MLHSPlugin Install.EXE" from the homeseer updates folder, copied the MLHSPlugin.dll from this thread to the plugins directory. But I am not seeing the MLHSPlugin in the legacy plugins window. Is there anything I forgot?

I also tried manually copying MSWINSCK.OCX and TABCTL32.OCX to System32 and did a REGSVR32 on those.

My system is running on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.

Nevermind my problem, it seems I had a "C:\Program Files (x86)\MLServer\Plugins" directory while this should have been "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cinemar\MLServer\Plugins".

Return to “Homeseer”
