no communication from Yamaha

Postby W4ZOO » Sat Feb 10, 2007 10:58 pm

Used both com 4 and also 3with no luck, I have had this working, but had to do a few things to the pc and may not have gotten the right rs232 used ?
I have the RXZ9 utility to run the receiver via serial port and it is controlled fine, but when I run server I get the following from the MLYamaha log...

MLYamaha Plugin Initialization Complete
CMD: Send~02303745433103~1 FROM: HTPC
Entering SendViaCommPort Routine
Entering BinaryStr Routine

CMD: Effect~Toggle FROM: HTPC
Entering SendViaCommPort Routine
Entering BinaryStr Routine
Comm Port Sending 7 bytes [02 30 37 41 35 36 03]

And I get this from the Errors log in Server.

Looks like some other software is opening the comport before the yamaha plugin can. Check all other plugins to see if they are configured for the same port. And any other software. only one application at a time can talk to a serial port.

Thanks Smoothtlk,

I found that the XMLobby was on 3 also, after fixing it now has no command errors, nothing happens I see command sent on the log from MLS and nothing in the MLYamaha log.

I then used the "Yamaha utility to control the rx-z9 and it found the port and ran fine ??

Dazed and confused...

Working now

Postby W4ZOO » Sun Feb 11, 2007 12:21 pm

I moved the working info for my one receiver from space one to two and removed all info from space one, in the settings for comport for the Yamaha plugin.

Oh whell...
