RX V2700-Support

Postby mediaM » Sat Dec 23, 2006 7:19 am

Is ML planning on adding Yamaha's model V2700 to their list of supported receivers for the Yamaha plugin?

Give it a try with the plugin that has a 30 day trial. It might just work as Yamaha has been pretty good at keeping their communications protocol stable across their model line.

I have my 2700 working now.

Getting some strange results with some of the commands, but that is probably user error.

Getting unrecognized Receiver

Postby mjunky » Sun Mar 16, 2008 10:48 am

Is the Yamaha plugin going to be updated to handle current receivers?

I had to replace a dead Yamaha RX-V2600 with a RX-V2700 (2600's aren't in current stock any longer. Although it will occassionally connect successfully it is now yelling that it is an Unknown type.

From the plugin log:

I guess that answers that question....

So let's try it a different way...

I have been able to create some of the 2700 specific commands using the MLYamaha|Send~Command. That works fine for the standard commands in the SS HH HH HH HH HH EE format. However, there are some extended commands for the 2700 that use the extended operation command format (I think it is SS HH HH HH HH HH HH HH HH HH HH HH EE) But I have not been able to get any to work....

Does anyone have a working example or two for sending these extended op commands?

Thanks

MJ
