reading variables from two devices

Postby incoronado » Sat Apr 23, 2011 11:25 am

I have an issue where I'm trying to uniquely identify the device the sends a message. I have an iBridge and XM Radio configured as Russound devices. Both seem to report changes to the same variable cav66_c1z126_xxxxx. One overwrites the other. I can't find any way to differentiate the two. I think RNET reports the device number but I don't think ML has a variable for that. Obviously I want to track changes made by both simultaneously.

I'll check the protocol docs again to see if there are some identifiers in there I am missing.

Maybe this will help. I think this is it.

under 9.3 Reading Multi-Field Broadcast Display Feedback Messages

Byte #21 = Message type and Source Number = (0x20 (Multi-Field Display Type) bit-wise ORed
with the source number (e.g., source 1 = 0x20, source 3 = 0x22.))

Not yet. It will be in the V4 Russound Driver.
