Keep in mind that when I got the outdoor version of the P600, I assumed that all the screens were really bad quality / visibility. The 3500X units are MUCH brighter and more clear than the outdoor P600.

Thanks for that info.

Here is a video showing Microsoft's home of the future...using a Fujitsu 3400/3500:

That's a pretty good endorsement for this tablet.

Did you take the outdoor P600 outdoors? That should have a transflective screen which gets brighter with brighter ambient light. It doesn't rely on a backlight like indoor units. The indoor use of it will be worse than an Indoor screen.

Absolutely right on, smooth.

The outdoor unit is great outdoors and horrible indoors. The indoor unit is the opposite.

Newer systems - such as my Motion tablet - have this mastered to where it's great indoors and out, but I hadn't thought about that when I first bought the P600. Still... for $300 or so, I'm quite pleased. :D

Gregoryx

Are you able to use your finger on the Fujitsu or does it require the stylus?

Thanks

Joe

Instructions and all necessary drivers for a fresh install of W2K on a Fujitsu 3400 (you need to have your own W2K install disc and license).

Fingernail works well on the Fujitsus, but not finger... in my experience. The Progear units worked better with a finger - though always better with a fingernail.

I'd bet there's a way to adjust the sensitivity of the Fujitsus but I haven't even looked around for it yet.

Does anyone know how to assign an action/program to the "programmable key" on the bottom left of the Fujitsu screen?

A finger works with the 3400, but you have to press hard.
