I really enjoyed reading through this thread.

I was just wondering....the last posts about the alarmclock were back at the beginning of the year. Have you done any more testing on HS2.0?

I'd love to implement an alarmclock...my wife would love it!

Thanks!

Not yet. Soon. Just been slammed lately...not enough hours in the day. Will post when I can.

Oct 21: Still not enough hours in the day.

Heavily using the new slider menus. This is a huge plus for small real estate.

Wow, very nice.

Kevin, how are you doing your floor plan graphics? Do they have a transperent background? I've completed mine and saved them as JPGs but the image has a background and doesnt have the polish that your do.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Looking good. Now I see why you pulled an all nighter the other day. :)

Excellent layout. I love the split floorplan design.

This last layout and colour scheme looks fantastic on the gloss black Samsung. While I prefer the screen size of the Airpanel V110, the Samsung is faster, more reliable and well suited as an HA Remote. Only negative at this point is the lack of a docking cradle. Very impressed overall

Mario, thanks a tonne for your help...was deffinately worth the 40 hour day. Beat the deadline and blew people away at the grand opening. They had never seen anything so slick. The new sliding menus really did it for the lack of realestate on 800x480 screen. Kudos Mario.

Floor plan graphics: I ended up using a program called Gif2Swf but am now using Flash MX pro and SwishMax...makes things a lot simpler.

OK, so went to full Flash MX...much easier in the end for custom screens. Have added links to this latest project with the Samsung Q1 on page 1 of these posts.

Merry Christmas everyone :)

It's been a while since my last update but that's only because I've been way to busy for any side fun. I'm working on some seriously cool systems and pushing uncharted territory to the limits right now.. You got that right eh Mario?

At the end of this latest venture into the realms of ulta-cool I'll post some results, solutions and experiences when finished. I'll tell you this..Cinemar is a fabulous company to work with.

Stay tuned...

new MLHS AlarmClock

Postby kevind » Tue Oct 09, 2007 3:18 am

For anyone interested. this is a deluxe "hybrid" alarm clock taking advantage of the best of both MainLobby and Homeseer. MainLobby's UI and Cyclestates are driving the front end while Homeseer's multi-threaded capabilities are doing the actual alarm clock work.
