Some posting tips for this area

Postby mcascio » Fri Feb 11, 2005 4:41 pm

We've added this area to the forum so users can share sample MLServeCmd's they've with others.

If we can stick to some basic guidelines, it will make it easy for users to find what they are looking for.

Recommended Posting Guidlines
> In the Subject, describe what the command does
ie. Launches an IFO file using Zoom Player
> List the MLServeCmd
> Explain in detail what the command does
> List any dependencies the command may require such as plugins and programs (version numbers are also helpful)
> Feel free to include scene (MLS) files that incorporate your technique
> Use one thread for each MLServeCmd unless you are providing variations of the same command
> Users are free to Reply to the post and ask questions

Sample Post
Subject: Open Notepad

Command
MLServeCmd.MLFileOpen|notepad

Description
Opens up Windows Notepad.

Dependencies
This command requires the MLFileOpen plugin which comes standard with MLServer. You would typically provide a full path to the executable but in this case, notepad doesn't require a full path as it is recognized as a program by the OS.
