You need to copy your work, uninstall the demo application, install the licensed version, and then copy your work back the licensed application.

Yea - I figured that, so when I ran the new installer I selected the un-install option. Then I ran the installer again and installed the plugin.

Unfortunatly, there must be some (inportant) element wich is not uninstalled. . . What is it? Where is it? And how do I remove it?

Thanks as always!

A swing, and a miss.

I used the windows uninstall, checked to make sure nothing appeared in the plugin directory or in the program directory. I removed all of the old pictures in the specified netflix directory. I restarted, then installed - the pictures still say demo.

Any other thoughts?

Install the Demo again, then Uninstall using Add / Remove programs, then reboot, then Install licensed. Run without adding your files back. Report if things look licensed.

Add your files back and run again.
Report if things look licensed.

I suspect it had something to do with the way you were uninstalling. Not saying that you did something wrong, just unexpected.

I believe there is bug with clients connecting in the latest version.

Thanks

Mosley,
How did you "push" this info from within DVDL? Did you do something like the following in the default Play or Trailer box?

MLServeCmd.Macro|SetVariable|OVERVIEW2~<<OVERVIEW>>!Sony985.DVDLobby.TRAILER

I ask because when I try the above, I get nothing.

I use this in my default play command override for SACDs, and it works fine:

Code: Select all
MLServeCmd.SetVariable|tracknames~<<NOTES>>

Based on this section in the infamous "cheat sheet", I don't believe that <<OVERVIEW>> is one of the variables exposed in DVDL:

DVDLobby Substitutions:
<<UPC>> Substitutes the UPC Code assigned to the movie.
<<FILE>> Substitutes the File assigned to the movie.
<<TITLE>> Substitutes the movie title.
<<FIXEDTITLE>> Replaces unique characters (\ / : * ? " < > |) found in the Movie Title and replaces them with an underscore (_) ie Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers becomes Lord of the Rings_ The Two Towers. These unique characters are not allowed when creating folders in Windows which is why we replace them with an underscore.
<<NOTES>> Substitutes whatever you've entered in the Notes of the movie.
<<COLLECTIONNUMBER>> Substitutes collection number assigned to the movie.
<<CHANGERNUMBER>> Substitutes the changer number you've assigned.
<<CHANGERLOCATION>> Substitutes the full disc location assigned to the movie.
<<CUSTOM1>> Substitutes whatever you've entered for Custom1.
<<CUSTOM2>> Substitutes whatever you've entered for Custom2.
<<CUSTOM3>> Substitutes whatever you've entered for Custom3.
<<CUSTOM4> Substitutes whatever you've entered for Custom4.
<<CUSTOM5>> Substitutes whatever you've entered for Custom5.
<<CHANGERLOCATION1>> 1st digit of changer location. This is useful for breaking up infrared commands to choose a movie. If the changer location is less than 3 digits, this will be 0.
<<CHANGERLOCATION2>> 2nd digit of changer location. If the changer location is less than 2 digits, this will be a zero.
<<CHANGERLOCATION3>> 3rd digit of changer location.

<<FILE>> variable only works when used in your default PLAY MOVIE and DEFAULT TRAILER command within the MLDVDLobby plugin.
It also works when using the OVERRIDE PLAY MOVIE command for each movie.

so, subject to my being misinformed (it has happened once or twice  ) DVDQuery seems to be the only way to access the Overview variable. If that doesn't change, and if DVDQuery doesn't get fixed, I've considered going through and copying the overview info into the Notes field for each movie. (I'm not looking forward to it, though  )

Guys,

We will be exposing popular variables (such as overview) from DVDLobby for the selected movie in a future upgrade...among some other features.

Thanks Mosley,

I'll try accessing the <<notes>> then.

I guess when you refer to DVDQ getting fixed you are talking about the 256 char limit? (at least in regards to displaying overview)

A bit OT, but since you are fellow SACD fan, are you aware of the following site?

http://www.quadraphonicquad.com/forums/

They have excellant reviews and discussions about high resolution surround with a couple of contributors that are deep into the industry themselves. (engineers, mixers, etc)

Changing gears here.

What program do you buy to get rid of the DEMO tags on the resized images?

Tim,

No - I still have "Demo" on all the pics. I have been so busy, that I just have not had any time to work on this.

One of these days I will spend the time, but it isn't going to be today either. :(

If anyone (especialy Dave) has any ideas, please post them.
