Using this for serial connection, correct? If so, open Device Manager and see what Com Ports are available on your server. If there are none (or all are in use) you will have to buy a USB->Serial cable to add a Com Port. I have used IOGEAR Model GUC232A successfully. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6812107906 You can change Com Port numbers in Win 7 by right clicking on the port in device manager, then port settings->advanced->com port number

V3 MLIrrigation has a hard limit on comm ports. You can only use comm ports numbered 1 to 16. V4 has no such limitation. You will have to rearrange your comm ports so you can free up a comm port <= 16.

V3 MLIrrigation only supports Rain8. We do not have an EtherRain driver at this time. Just a matter of finding a protocol document for it.

I do have the EtherRain protocol and it should be possible to make Irrigation compatible with the device. I would need access to an EtherRain for driver testing.

I would like to reopen this thread. I have an Etherrain - works great. I have been using custom screens and scripts I developed but it is becoming a nightmare to manage - especially as I am moving to web designer. I was thinking I could use the generic driver - is this the generic serial driver? If so, I don't think this is going to work as this is IP based. I would be happy to ship you my unit to test with if that offer is still open. Although it would have to wait a little while as we are parched this summer and it is running every day!

You don't have to ship one to me all I need is access to one. Remote access is fine.
