IP Control for MLDirecTV?

It looks like DirecTV is adding IP control to their boxes. Is this something that could be added into MLDirecTV?

I grabbed a copy of the proposed protocol. Let me know when your receivers are capable of IP control and I'll test on your system. I do not have DirecTV here to test with.

Dave, I tried this http://sillysot.com/dtv/ on my iphone and everything worked on one of my DirecTV DVR's (didn't try it on my others, but I assume it would work on them as well).

Let me know what you need from me to help you get this going. Getting this working will be great from a standpoint of not having to buy the serial to USB adapter and extra components to add additional serial ports to the MLServer. Unfortunately, I already have purchased these items, but it would be nice to simplify things and get rid of some of the cables and boxes.

this works great for trial. Replace Ip with your box ip. Just put this in a browser.

The following keys can be substituted for "guide": power, poweron, poweroff, format, pause, rew, replay, stop, advance, ffwd, record, play, guide, active, list, exit, back, menu, info, up, down, left, right, select, red, green, yellow, blue, chanup, chandown, prev,0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, dash, enter.

I got this off an openremote site.
