MLLyrics Changes?

Postby jjjukebox » Sun Aug 08, 2010 4:28 pm

Just noticed that things make have change on searches from MLLyrics host.
The plugin lists the Lyrics OK but the variables created are incorrect.

Eg.

mllyrics_lyrics_office=http://www.lyricsvip.com
mllyrics_song_office=
mllyrics_artist_office=

Anyone else seeing this?

I don't doubt they have changed their website. Since the plugin scrapes html data any change they make to their website is likely going to break the plugin. I'll have to look at what the plugin is doing and see if I can fix it.

Mine is dead too - All I get returned is a URL to their website for all Lyric queries. I just rolled out some scenes that my family started to use so it would be great to get this working again. Thanks.

Version 3.0.38 of MLLyrics should get you back in business.

I am having hit and miss results with the new version.

A lot of the times I get :
Artist - Song - not located in the database
in the log (attached).

If there is not a "Artist - Song - not located in the database" line then the ML variables were properly populated.

On the Lyrics tab the lyrics are there but the Artist is "&nbsp" and Song is"&nbsp"

Not sure if it is some kind of timing issue or not.

An example of the command is:
MLLyrics|GetLyrics~beatles~love me do~{{ClientName}}

Thanx

Let me know if version 3.0.40 plays better with your Internet connection.

Dave,

It still seems to be too fast for my connection. I have to repeat the GetLyrics command 2 or 3 times before it returns the correct lyrics.

Version 3.0.41 increases the amount of time it will check for a lyric response from 5 to 15 seconds. See if that is better for you.

Not sure if this version is helping. This problem is only happening with SatRadio streams, not MusicLobby or hardware XMPCR. Probably related to bandwith traffic congestion, etc. because I have the most trouble with it when I have multiple streams running.

Anyone seeing this problem again? The plugin has stopped working for me in the last couple of days. I'm having the same problem as Jim.

Dave, can you check out the website again?

Thanks,

Ron,

Mine has been down for couple of days too.

The event log shows it trying to get lyrics but end up with not in database on any try.
