Proliphix IP thermostat

Postby lathanm » Tue Dec 12, 2006 9:34 pm

Has anyone tried to integrate a Proliphix IP thermostat with ML? I am in the market for a good thermostat and so far computer controllable options are either thin or tied to other hardware I don't need or want. This one seems pretty simple and I like the option of additional sensors.

lathanm,

Did you ever end up pickin up this thermostat? We'll be looking for beta testers for this thermostat fairly soon. We don't have the hardware in hand so we'll need some thorough testing.

I've actually been using this thermostat for over a year now in my office. I can't say I've integrated it into any sort of automation system, but the ability to set up the schedule through the web interface is very user friendly. Also, it's quite nice to have a shortcut on my desktop to open the settings and quickly adjust the temperature setting as opposed to run to the other end of the office. Aside from that, it's been pretty rock solid... no problems at all.

ppmanchuck,
Time to integrate it with MainLobby with the new MLThermostat and Proliphix driver!
Give it a go and let us know how it works out for you!

Hot off the press...the Proliphix Driver is now available:

A great first addition to our new MLThermostat Family line of drivers.

Our decision to support Thermostats directly rather than only through third party hardware will help to round out MainLobby/MLServer and truly make it a more complete solution.

Glad to see the driver is ready. I was holding off on buying one until it was supported.
