Lighting Choices

Postby MurrayW » Wed Mar 25, 2015 5:42 pm

I've been away from this for a while. I am going to replace a few switches at a time instead of doing the whole house at once. I don't have a neutral wire running to my switches. What is my best choice for starting small but being able to build upon it later? I'd like to be able to control the switch through both ML and my iPhone/iPad independently from ML.

Hello Murray,

I've been using Insteon for probably 10 years or so, and have over 180 light switch modules installed in our home. has light switch modules that don't require a neutral wire to work. I've been using one in our kitchen island for over two years without any problems.

From personal experience, their first and second generation switches weren't the best quality, but the ones I've purchased over the past year or so (with dual band technology), have been working extremely well!

Just as an fyi, I have no financial interest or relationships with the company.
