Expect a deafening silence if the conversation happens to turn to switching 1080p HDMI 1.3 with HDCP -- no less with a Cat5 backbone.

Hey guys also in the industry, what about Key Digital, we use them on almost all jobs. They can get to be big money but there smaller peices are a good value?

Thanks,

So it seems that I can get HAI panels for the same cost or cheaper than the ELK system.

Is there an advantage to one versus the other?
For:
    controlling upb
    basic security
    cameras
    smoke/ co2
    programing
    keypads
[/list]

In general, the ELK M1 is newer. It was designed to interface with PC's. The HAI from all signs was an "afterthought". The ELK has a much more solid PC connection with reliability. It is our understanding that HAI recently upgraded their firmware to address this issue, but no one has tested that yet and we are still awaiting their protocol changes.
