This is the base set of data, along with the options for 100s of different weather maps for national and international weather. There is also the possibility of introducing some new interactive scenes using this new data. We can provide you with enough weather information you'll never have to turn on the TV.

Now for the bad news. This weather feed is not free. We will have to implement a yearly subscription service for this data feed. For the current set of data we estimate that the yearly cost of the Intellicast weather feed will be $29.99 per MLServer per year.

We also plan on offering this as an optional service. You can continue to purchase the current WeatherLobby using the weather.com data. We'll call this WeatherLobby Basic going forward. There is no yearly cost for WeatherLobby Basic. If you subscribe to the Intellicast version of WeatherLobby (called WeatherLobby Advanced going forward) you will automatically switch over to the Intellicast feed. If your subscription runs out you will revert back to WeaterLobby Basic and the data it provides. All this will be controlled by the license key you are given.

So we ask you to chime in. Are you willing to subscribe to this data? Does it provide enough value added data? Are we missing any data that you would like to see? We have 30 days to decided on the final data set that we will source from Intellicast. We will not know the actual final subscription price until we finalize the data set but it should not be too far off from the estimate. Let us know what you think.

$30 per year for the data you represent is reasonable. I'd be in.

Very resonable and a great opportunity to upsell the service for both you and us dealers. I like it and I am in.

The best part is the tide data that many of my customers have requested for years.
Thanks!

I like it. Cost seems fair. I am impressed by the concept that if Advanced subscription runs out, Basic kicks in. That's very proactive of you.

Historical data is interesting too. (Like we need an excuse to go messing around with our scenes again.) :D

This is a pretty major step forward for Cinemar just like AMG was. We'll be getting access to data just like some of the big boys out there do. And we're trying to make it affordable for everyone.

The great thing is we don't have to worry about data changing and have a number to call for support if we need it.

I personally am looking forward to the hourly forecast...no more going to an internet page for this detail.

Now we just need more than three people who are willing to subscribe. ;)

count me in, I go to intellicast outside of mainlobby for all my weather needs and I prefer their forecasts and radar images.

You get what you pay for right?

I'd be interested, if Canadian cities get the same level of data.

Just checked - and yes, it looks like us Aussies Down Under are covered by Intellicast 8)

SO - I'd be willing to give it a go, although I'll keep an eye on the data and see how accurate it is... I did notice that Weather.com seemed to either not get data from our Bureau of Meteorology on a regular basis or was just slow to update it... even so the 10 day forecast is a good thing.

Intellicast claims that their weather is updated every 20 minutes unless the reporting station goes off line.

So Mario - What is the magic number to make this a "Go for Trial run?"
Thanks!

We have had enough of a positive response that we are going forward. I'm working on the updated plugin among other things.
