Gallery Complete Version

Postby MHd » Fri Sep 25, 2009 5:41 pm

Information for New Gallery Library & Scenes

Gallery Complete Version– Library 0028

Additions to Media Package:
MLCalendar
MLIrrigation
MLRss Feed
MLStocks
MLCaller ID
MLiPod
MLWebLobby
MLWeatherAdvanced
MLFootball
MLHoroscopes
MLLighting
Security
MLWindowCoverings
MLThermostat
MLEnergyManagement

CURRENT MEDIA PACKAGE includes: DVDLobby, MusicLobby, PhotoLobby, WeatherLobby

Homepage – The homepage stays the same for the complete package. A small dimmed square button can be found in the lower left corner that will launch a menu for the additions.

Menu Design - this menu is designed to go directly to any of the Cinemar products. A second submenu will appear for Media and Rooms. Media can also be accessed from the homepage. Rooms is a submenu which lists all the room in the house. Each room contains controls specific to its interior; lighting, temperature, music, movies, spa, etc.

Calendar/Today – This page is normally what you may have on prior library installations. This also provides another homepage if desired. There are two Calendar Today pages; one with stocks and one with last caller as some may prefer. The navigation bar consists of items that are related to the current day; News, Horoscopes, Stocks, Last Caller and Internet.

Clock – Digital Clock option as screensaver. Click screen to remove.

Energy Management – Energy management page has been designed with overlays of information as not to crowd the screen.

Environment – This page will take you to temperature controls and a navigator for ceiling fans, shades, fireplaces and pool.

Football games - who's playing who, locations, up to moment statistics, etc. for the entire NFL Season.

Horoscopes – Daily horoscopes.

Internet – WebLobby feature.

Irrigation – Irrigation feature.

CallerID – Last Caller feature.

Lighting – The lighting option will launch a submenu with potential presets for lighting. The floorplan option can provide a traditional visual control.

Media – Same options as the homepage as well as DVD Management, CD Ripper and iPort. Once in the media area, the media submenu will continue to appear. To access the full option menu you must go back to Home. The reason for this feature is that there are many overlays within MusicLobby and the multiple menu layers will cause the design to stop working properly.

Rooms – Launches a submenu for all the individual room with specific controls for each. See Master Bedroom for a full design. This page provides quick access to music and movies without going back to the navigation menu. A floorplan option can also provide an overall visual of the house.

Rss Feed – Headline news feeds. An Internet window which launch when you click on a particular story.

Security – The security page has templates for either 4 or 6 cameras. The default is six.

Stocks – View daily stock changes and total portfolio worth.

Weather – The weather page by default is the traditional information from The Weather Channel. If purchased the new Intellicast package will provide extended ten day forecast and weather information such as ski reports and weather warnings.

Changes to Gallery (Media):

Button Rollover:
As requested by many, the main buttons have been altered to show that they have been pressed. If anyone is unhappy with this new change the original buttons have been saved as follows: 1=1001, 4=1004, 5=1005, 6=1006, 7=1007, 8=1008. These are the only buttons that have been changed.

Movie Selection:
The selection buttons for the remote, lock and location of play have been moved to the navigation bar for aesthetic reasons.

Photo Slideshow:
The eye icon has been replaced with a screen icon.

Library Information:
Additional buttons have been added to the library. Some are not currently used, but provide the user with more options. Many of the additions are meant to be used on the smaller button options.

A new lighting feature has been added which provides an invisible dimmer feature. Option number 0305 in the library is an invisible slider which overlays a status bar.

0357 is a silver status bar which in appearance is invisible in the library, but when coded will appear.

0903 – 0906 are meant to work with the status bars to provide a back plate look.

The new Compete version of Gallery will be released this weekend. I am getting a head start on the information and pictures. Please be patient!

They all look great! Definately worth the wait. Has there been any discussion about an "upgrade" price for those of us that started with the media scenes?

Thanks.

As I thought these new scenes look great. I have a question about the new weather scenes. No data shows up. I am assuming that this is because it is looking for the new weather, Intellicast data. Is this true?

Thanks

Gallery includes scenes for both the legacy Weather data and the new Intellicast Weather data. There is a server macro that is supposed to run when you click the weather menu item that will vector you to the appropriate weather scene. Are you being brought to the new Intellicast scenes? We'll check the logic to make sure it didn't break for some reason?

I am being taken to the weather_adv scene. None of the data is being populated. Also the "home" scene weather box is empty.

Thanks

Ok you're going to the Intellicast scenes. I'll look to see why.

Dave - the scenes were released with a mix of both depending on where you are in the scene set. If you do not have intellecast, then weather about half works.
Thanks!
