Get label value of current CycleState variable

Postby randyf » Sun Apr 19, 2015 1:23 pm

I'm using a CycleState variable to hold a set of music playlist names and I'd like to be able to get the value of the label for the current position in the CycleState variable. For example, my variable contains 3 values:

sample_playlists.jpg

I can use the following command to navigate thru the items in the variable: CycleStates|Next~HousePlaylists

But I don't see a command to use to get the value of the label for the current position (or even a way to get what the current position might be). Is this possible at all?

I'm trying to use this method to add some behavior to my Russound Uno S2 keypads to display and navigate music playlists directly from the keypad.

Thanks

Depending on how you configured the states variable you will see a pair of server variables named

<<statevariablename>>_label
<<statevariablename>>_data

or prefixed with {{clientname}}
{{clientname}}_<<statevariablename>>_label
{{clientname}}_<<statevariablename>>_data

or suffixed with {{clientname}}
<<statevariablename>>_label_{{clientname}}
<<statevariablename>>_data_{{clientname}}

These variables point to the current active state.
