MusicLobby 1.80d - No more coverart

Postby gbdesai » Thu Oct 16, 2003 8:15 pm

I just installed MusicLobby 1.80d and I can't see cover art anymore. It appears in Media Center 9.1 as it always has, but not in MusicLobby, all track info and related data comes over but no art. I installed the new plug-in, etc.. Any ideas?

Gautam

BTW, I did check all different views. Same issue in all views that show cover art.

Gautam,

Did you install the new mc9setup.exe if you are using Media Center in the plugins folder?

Can anyone else confirm/deny any problems with the latest update?

Haven't used it for lots of time, but the install went simple and everything is working. WinXPPRo.

Same problem here. I have installed and started the plugin but am having no luck on seeing the cover art in music lobby

I have your whole suit of products. XP pro latest public patches and service packs.

Any help would be great.

Jeff,

Are you connecting to Media Center which is, in turn, connecting to a computer running J. River's Media Server? If so, a fix is done and will be posted shortly.

I am running J. River Media Center, which I assume is hooked to J. River media server in the background. So I guess the answer is yes. Will the patch come in a full upgrade?

Thanks for the quick response.

Bug Fix

Postby TimC » Tue Jan 27, 2004 11:02 am

Is the fix mentioned above posted anywhere yet? I have media server serving media center which in turn serves musiclobby and I can't get the artwork into musiclobby either.

Cheers,
Tim

TimC,
Coverart has been discussed here multiple times.
Most common reason why it doesn't show up in MuLobby is that the art is embedded in the music file, and not external in a directory in MediaCenter. Also, make sure the jpg is non progressive. This is documented in the MuLobby help file.
That fixes most coverart problems.

Thanks smoothtlk but that isnt the issue as the artwork is in a separate directory.

If I change the media center library to point directly to my music library rather than using the server then the artwork feeds through to music lobby ok.

Do the paths to the image file have to be identical on all machines? I am thinking my server will have a diffent path to the image compared to the client machines. Media center displays all artwork correctly everywhere though but I guess that could be passing the artwork around not just the file location. I'll try mounting the image file to the same drive name on all machines and see if that helps.

I always use the computers network name in the paths for everything I do with MainLobby, just to be safe.
