Setup client for MusicLobby

Postby Art Dustman » Thu Sep 09, 2010 9:04 pm

I am trying to have a pc "client" use the musiclobby database and play music only on that remote client. How is this achieved?

I have a pc setup and connected to the server, and can see the entire music library - but can't do anything. Do I have to now buy this: MLClientSvc plugin?

Am I able to limit this client to a few select playlists?

Thanks :?

You need the ClientSvc agent running on the PC and the MLClientSvc plugin loaded. You then define one of the MusicLobby zones as a remote zone. You put in the IP address or PC name of the remote pc running the ClientSvc agent. That's all it takes.

There is no way to restrict a clinet from viewing only select playlists unless you created a special playlist page to replace the default one and hard coded the playlists on the page.
