Help Installing A Lilliput In Wall

Postby gaspower » Wed Jul 11, 2007 10:27 am

Hello,

need a suggestion on how to extend the wiring on a Lilliput touch screen. I am using a HTPC with DVDlobby and one of my control units is the Lilliput, but currently it is next to the HTPC. I want to install it in the wall about 30ft away. I need to be able to extend the usa and the video. I have tried just standard extension cables, but video really distorted. What other suggestions can be used for extending that far.

Thanks JR

Muxlab VGA baluns?
I am running these about a hundred feet with very good result.

The USB you will need an "active" extender cable for 30 ft.

You could also look into CAT5e KVM extenders, can be had for 100-150 and work well. I've used a trendnet for an installation that went 100' with no loss in resolution. Had to use a cat5 USB extender as well.
