Willing to share Q1 optimized custom scenes

Postby mnkynifefite » Fri Aug 22, 2008 6:29 pm

I'm still a ML noob, but thanks to many of you I'm getting educated. I have a Q1 and was not satisfied with the stock ML graphics (no offense). I wanted some scenes that would maximize real estate for 1024x600, had 1-to-1 graphics for crispness.sharpness (I use very little scaling), and had original vector resources (so I can later create any size graphics I need without sacrificing image quality). I originally got my inspiration from dannay's use of the WMP "look", but I created my own from scratch.

I'm willing to share with the community as a "thanks" for helping me in the past/future. I have all the source files. Most of my button files are PSD, but the green button files are vector in AI. Due to uploading size limits, my scenes and source graphics would break the bank, so I'm willing to email them to whomever would like them.

I'm still not 100% complete. I still need to create all custom sliders, and a few other odds & ends "tweaks". Also, the whole bottom row of green buttons on the home page are not "active". This is due to the fact I'm still building the scenes, acquiring the supporting hardware (Elk for Security), and implementing all the respective ML plugins.

Here's a glimpse-

I agree. Very nice work on the graphics and layout. I love the simplicity, and it looks very professional. Are you a graphics designer? Maybe Cinemar will contract with you for some custom scenes. I would like to see this style combined with the new Lodge scenes. Keep up the great work, and thanks for sharing!

How do you keep the Q1 at 1024 x 600? It seem that if I have to reboot it, it goes back to native resolution of 800. BTW nice work on the graphics

Do you have a new Q1 (with the keyboard) or an older Q1?

They are the buttons form Library 17. It is a small but nice set that I use in some of my scenes.
Thanks!

I've decided to start from scratch and develop a whole new set of screens in both 1024x768 and 1024x600....so I'm making these old one open to anyone and everyone.

You can get them here-

Zip password is mainlobby. Have fun.
