My new DVD scenes

No matter how large or how small, the area of Home Theater is what we all have in common. So...Let others know your configuration. List your components first and then if you care to, a small history. Be sure to come back and keep it updated!

My new DVD scenes

Postby Sgt-baker » Tue Mar 08, 2005 9:47 am

Wanted to share my current DvD scenes with you guys, hope you like em.

This first screen is the default library interface. This is what you see when you select DvD from the home theatre remote. The buttons on the left are for sorting by genre or title, The "DvD Player" button sets the system for the single disc stand alone player, and the buttons on the far right are pages in the library.
Image

Second screen is after a DvD has been selected. Since this movie is an ISO the "DvD Player" button is hidden and the "Play" button is now up. Clicking the button runs a script which actually mounts and starts playing the ISO.
Image

Third screen is just to show what a multi-disc movie looks like. The code cuts the path string apart and gives you two play buttons now. They both run the same script just passing different variables to it to select the correct ISO.
Image

This screen is of the actual control scene. It pulls a few items from the xml and fills them into DeviceStrings in HomeSeer, which are then displayed here in MainLobby.
Image

Here is a Shot of the Genre sorting screen. This page looks through the XML and puts together a list of all the genres that are in it, then formats them into a couple of tables for easy clicking.
Image

Finally here is the title sort scene. Nothing special here, just click a letter to see all the DvD's in the collection with titles beginning with that letter.

I can not take the credit for the heart of the code here. Joe Hebert from the HomeSeer forum wrote a bunch of nice scripts that work with DvDProfiler and I butchered his work to make my code. Many, Many thanks Joe, excellent scripts.

I will send an updated zip with the newest files, check back for an update

Enjoy,
Sgt-Baker

Here is a zip of the MLS's, Scripts, and ASP for the above scenes.

Or not... Can't seem to get a file attached. Am I doing something wrong?

Enjoy,
Sgt-Baker

sgt baker - posting has not been working for a few weeks. Probably won't get fixed until the forum is moved to a new hosting environment which is a priority for Cinemar.

My suggestion is to post them in the MLHSPlugin thread in Homeseer's forum - maybe in the Tricks / Tips area.

thanx for sharing. Looking forward to taking a look at it!

Sgt-Baker;

Very Nice!! Good work. I like the fact that you designed an interface some time back, and have stuck with it. You have contuinued to expand the original design (which I have a download of).

I am so impressed, that I might incorporate your design into my new interface.

Great work once more!!
Thanks!

Sgt-Baker,
Excellent job. Easy to setup too.
Can you post the square metallic button you have in the webpage?
Thanx!

Sgt-Baker,
How are you doing the mp3 page? Are you using Homeseer Media Player as the backend? Can you share your ASP pages like you did dvd pages?

thanx as always!
