A few more tweaks and I think that it is ready for release

What's on your short list? Everyone should chime in here.

How will you market this?

We're working in the strategy. But everyone can help. If you frequent other forums don't be afraid to drop our names. We get chastised if we do unsolicited posts. Not so for you guys. Tell your friends.

And certainly not a hobby. Not with this much blood sweat and tears invested in it.

Your product is actually amazing, not just great. It has become so easy to work with to create nice web pages. With ATT&T and others hitting the home automation market, you have something they really don't have. Most of those systems are cloud based which puts a big impact on security and privacy. Your system runs on its own server, not on the cloud. That in it of itself is a great selling point. This might sound stupid, but you have no FB page. Our auto repair shop (family business) has been around for 40 yrs. We have never advertised. Just recently a client of ours started a FB page for us, along with an Instagram account. Pics are posted a certain way and we are getting tons of hits on our accounts. They all link to our website that we never had before all this. Unfortunately we can only get clients in our surrounding areas, but you being a company that delivers a product to the client can reach out to everyone. I see a big market in the future for automation and media management for the 'average joe' types of folks. I think a update to the website to make it a little more sleek with user submitted photos of actual systems in use. A blog that can be followed to see new and upcoming releases or projects would attract followers. If potential clients were to hit your existing site, they won't see the full potential of your product. Just my $0.02 worth.

I think that you updated RC4. Can you provide an update to the changes?

Also, I presume that we need to refresh the support files on our custom project files. Just to confirm, is that for every project file or only once?

Thanks!

The last update for RC4 was to address the webpage object not updating when the server variable containing the URL changes. This was the change to the scripts.js file. Each of your projects will have to get this new scripts.js file.

You will also see that in project properties you now have the option to arrange the overlay layers by clicking on up and down buttons instead of having to copy and paste.

Dave,

Here's what I am seeing:

Installation Assistant lists Version 4.0.5213.30046 as the available new download.
Image1.jpg

But after downloading the file, the download folder doesn't contain that version. Only version 4.0.5205.16232 ... which is what the current server event log shows as running.

Sumpin' ain't right somewhere :(

Minor update to the Designer today. A new client command is now available called "Speak". Does exactly what you think it might do. The scripts.js file changed so you will have to refresh your projects. On iOS devices you'll need to touch the screen one time before speech gets enabled. Why? Ask Steve...

WebCmd|{{clientname}}~Speak|Is There Anybody Out There

Now you don't have to talk to yourself 8)

The real scary part will be if the system answers your question rather then just repeating your words! ;).
Thanks!

Check your index.html file in Notepad++

It needs to have

Code: Select all

<script type="text/javascript">InitApp();</script>

in it. If you have the old code that looks like

Code: Select all

<script type="text/javascript">
   $(document).on("touchmove", function(e) { e.preventDefault();e.stopPropagation();});
   $(document).ready(function() {DoStartup();});
</script>

in there change it to the new flavor.

Yep, headers are correct. IPad now playing sound once I turned the mute switch (hardware) off - DUH!

Playing around as it is not speaking. But then I have never had MLS speak. HS on the same machine speaks find.

Do I need an agent on MLS installed - probably... I play around.
