Lastest version of Main Lobby for Android

Postby philadam » Sun Mar 30, 2014 12:50 am

Just downloaded and installed latest version of Main lobby for Android, and now when I select movie Icon on the main page to go to movies in movie selections nothing happens on the android tablet.

This is what I get in the event log on MLS SERVER:

3/29/2014 10:45:43 PM Pop [0] w192168313 WebCmd|LoadScene|Movies.html
3/29/2014 10:45:43 PM MLProcess (1) [WebCmd|LoadScene|Movies.html] from [w192168313]
3/29/2014 10:45:43 PM WEBCMD LoadScene|Movies.html
3/29/2014 10:45:43 PM MLProcess Exiting MLProcess

And then nothing on the tablet. Stays on the main page.

When I do it in Chrome on the server, I get the same 4 lines, but then the DVDlobby browser screen shows up.

Is this an old Android tablet that does not support web sockets in the default browser? It doesn't look like web sockets is working on it.

It is a Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 with Android 4.2.2. it is interesting. When I use the default internet browser for the tablet it doesn't work, when I use chrome it works. I thought that where both the same since android was a google product. When I go to settings for the default browser there is a setting for labs to get full screen. When I use chrome there isn't. Who do I complain to samsung or google?

The default browser on Android is a Webkit based browser but it is not Chrome. It doesn't support websockets until Kit-Kat. The latest version of Chrome for Android has a nice "Save to Start Page" option that launches the app full screen like it does on the iPad. You can then tap the "Cinemar Home Control" label to go full screen.

I've searched everywhere on my tablet and online to try and find out how to do this with no luck. Can you give me a walk through on how to do it on my tablet. Android 4.2.2, Chrome 34.0.1847.114

Thanks

Open the page in Chrome. Do not go full screen. On the URL bar far right you will see the settings icon with three stacked squares. Click on it. One of the menu options is Add to Homescreen.
