Sound played when MainLobby starts up

Postby randyf » Sat Nov 07, 2015 10:16 am

I had not downloaded/installed any ML updates for several months and then last week, I grabbed the latest files for the items I have installed. After the update, I noticed that when I start MainLobby with Chrome on a PC, there is a sound that plays for a brief second on startup. I don't recall hearing this before and I also checked the various startup scenes and I don't see any place where this sound might be triggered from. Is there something in the core ML application that is doing this?

Thanks

I thought I did something or was going crazy. There is absolutely a sound that plays on startup of the web interface. I does not matter which interface is selected so the sound must be generated by MLS.
Thanks!

The sound you hear is the JavaScript code initializing the audio player so that it is capable of rendering text to speech phrases. Hopefully it is not too annoying.

Ok, thanks Dave. Glad to know that it's something "normal".
