Lutron Illuminations and CCI input closure

Postby cowger » Fri May 13, 2016 12:49 pm

This is a pretty specific question, but I'm hoping that someone with a Lutron lighting system may have figured out a solution to this:

I'm trying to make ML aware of closure events / status on a CCI (input) board in the Lutron system. (Lutron doesn't export information about CCI boards and thus ML doesn't know about them.) I'm trying to see if I can somehow map a CCI input to something that ML can see, and thus have a server variable for (so I can write some automation based on the status of a CCI input).

Has anyone figured out a clever way to accomplish this?

Thanks,
Bryan

Any IR port on a Global Cache device can be converted into a sensor input with auto-notify. There's also an adapter you need to make it work depending on what you're connecting to. In your case, I think the adapter is called an SC-1.

That's a great idea, Dave, thanks! Rather than trying to cobble together a complex solution, just connect my input to the GC instead. Nice...
