if the values are just 1 and 0 do not enter anything into the value fields. Leave them blank. I think that is what is causing the problem.

I've also been kicking around the idea of introducing the concept of a tri-state variable. On, Off, Selected or Active. The idea was to address what you are trying to do. Not sure if it has other uses outside of this calendar.

I thought of that. Removved the values but it still does not work. My experience with state variable wierdness made me suspect the html code for the page may be getting confused somehow, so I created a new scene with just the ability to browse to next day / prev day and the two objects with the test state variables on it. No difference. The object's opacity does not follow the state changes.

Aha! Upon closer inspection, the state variables aren't changing because the variable values for active cell are not changing. Maybe somthing in the app code scripts?

After thinking about it {{gcalendar_cellNN_active_{{clientname}}}} is only set to a 1 to show the current day in the current month. It does not track the day that you are trying to show in the appointments. That's why you are not seeing it change. It's not designed too. I'll modify the logic so that variable will track the day that the appointments are being displayed for.

Any way to populate the Activity variables for 30 days, instead of just 1 day?

It would be great to have the ability to modify the scene, and make the monthly calendar much bigger, and then include small text on each day to show that day's activities. Then, it could be used like a standard wall calendar, where you walk up and can check out when a specific appointment is happening - without having to click on each day to see if it is occurring on that day...

When the Next Month button is pressed, it could replace the 30 days of variable values with the next month's appointments etc.

My wife won't go for it if she has to click on each day to see which day had the Dr. Appointment and which day was the parent teacher conference :D

Interesting thought. It could be done. I put it on the feature list.

Bpet,

This is the way the V3 legacy plugin MLCalendar was designed. It also had the ability to add and delete events. I think Dave knocked out a quick "Read-Only" calendar just to fill the request for more than just the "Calendar" object in the Designer. Dave has said he would beef up the V4 Calendar app, if enough users were interested.

In the meantime, there are many posts for the MLCalendar legacy plugin on the forum. Check it out.

Thanks Ron, I'll check it out...do you know if that one syncs with Google calendar? I love the idea of pulling from Google since my wife and I use the Google calendars on our phones. Read Only is fine by me, just need to be able to see the month's appointments at a glance :)

The old MLCalendar plugin interfaced with Outlook only.

Dave,

Noticed an update today to the Calendar app. What's new?

Nothing, just an experiment. One customer cannot install the Calendar or Irrigation apps on his server and I'm running some experiments to see what might be causing it.

Are there plans to release v4 of the old outlook calendar app? I don't mind using google but googlesync is now discontinued so I can't push my exchange/outlook calendar items up to google.

No immediate plans because we didn't think anyone was still using the old Calendar plugin. If demand dictates it then it could be migrated. The legacy plugins will continue to work in V4.
