Windows 10

Postby Synergy_Tech » Mon Jan 18, 2016 5:50 pm

Now that Windows 10 has been out for a while I was wondering if many of you have taken the update on your mlserver machines and how it's working out for you. Thanks...

There was a glitch in the SQL Server installation in my "installed from scratch" Windows 10 Pro, along with a permissions problem. I'm sure Dave will straighten these out shortly. Other than that, it's all been very smooth. The problems I notes should not occur if you upgrade your server from Windows 7 or Windows 8.

I upgraded from 8.1 to 10 and I really love it. Very stable.

One thing to remember is change the file permissions on the entire \MLServer folder so that the local group "Users" have full control. Then you won't be bugged with Windows giving you access denied messages when you try to place files in the folders. Holds true for any Program Files folder you routinely need to update.

Yes and .NET 4.5 is already on all Windows 10 PCs.
