XM -> Sirius change

Postby Near76 » Sat Jan 22, 2011 5:12 pm

I originally had the plugin up and running fine with XM, I then switched to try a Sirius username/password and cannot get it to stream, but I believe the cover art came through. I verified my account and details are correct. If I switch back to XM, it works fine. Is there something else I need to do to get Sirius to work?

Did you set up your Sirius account for online streaming?

Yes, online streaming is setup. Here is the error I get about every second in the SatRadio log: "tmrRadio_timer Error at line #110 Subscript Out of Range"

First - Sirius and XM merged their US websites on Feb 4th and introduced a new online player at that time. This immediately broke the MLSatRadio plugin from being able to play any online streams. I have a fix for that issue that should be released tomorrow. However, your error every few seconds is the inability of the plugin to gather the what's playing data from Sirius because the plugin still thinks you are an XM subscriber. As far as I know that has not been affected by the merger.

Yes, I believe what I quote you in saying here is the case. I was logged in first under an XM account and then changed the account details to Sirius. I thought by changing the "Streaming Account Selection" button from XM to Sirius would catch this, but something isn't getting updated to think it is still trying to pull the XM data. Is there an MLS variable I need to manually change?

I don't think the server variables will cause this. You could delete all the SatRadio* server variables and restart MLServer to see.
