Remote ISO DVD Navigation

Postby pschmitt » Sat Nov 13, 2010 7:05 am

I am trying to use MVLC to play iso files. Everything works except the ability to use the navigation buttons to actually play the move from the splash screen of the dvd. I have to still use my mouse to hit play on the screen. I have tried an application for the ipad called VLC Remote from http://hobbyistsoftware.com/vlc that allows the navigation buttons to work to select play and navigate the dvd via my iPad so it should be possible. Using both the Ipad HTML pages and the Main Lobby screen and no luck with either.

Anyone else having any issues?

Thanks,
Phil

Anyway to have an option to play dvd as % vlc dvdsimple://<file>, see http://www.videolan.org/doc/play-howto/en/ch04.html. This skips the menu and jumps right to the movie. Works on the vlc command line when I start manually but can't figure out how to add it to the ML agent.

The next release of the VLC plugin will have the cursor control keys working. The current cursor commands are not recognized by VLC any longer. I'll look at the dvdsimple documentation to see what that is all about.
